1.6 Project Assignment (4/4): Create / Test / Improve / Finalise the 3D design
Learning Objectives:
After this lesson, students can
- know how to use some existing 2D/3D models (e.g. in SVG, STL, OBJ formats, or Tinkercad "shapes") in their Tinkercad 3D designs, by importing, or copying-and-pasting;
- use Tinkercad tools to assemble the parts more acurately, e.g. Workplane Tool, Ruler Tool, Snap Grid;
- finish their project designs.

Hide and Lock Objects
Use Workplane Tool
With an object selected, pressing the D key will instantly drop it to the surface of the workplane. This same trick also works for any temporary workplanes you've added.Use Shapes Panel
Import SVG and STL/OBJ files into Tinkercad (file size<25MB)
- The STL file format is the most commonly used file format for 3D printing.

Rubrics (version 1):
- No gaps between the parts when they need to be joined.
- There is a window(s) or door(s) .
- Sizes of the components in the drawing should be the same as their actual sizes.
- Use the components provided, especially the motor, battery box and plastic bottle caps.
- Stability, structure, symmetry should be considered in your design.
- Use different colours for different parts
- Import and use other STL/OBJ/SVG objects, or use the "non-basic shapes" in Tinkercad Shapes Library will give you extra bonus marks.
- Your class and class number are labelled on your car.
